Anago Cleaning Systems is proud to announce our new Master Franchise Owners in San Antonio, TX- Erik and Emily Buttlar! This husband-and-wife team is excited to open their Anago Master Franchise soon.
We sat down with Erik and Emily to learn about their background, why they were attracted to the Anago Master Franchise Model, and what they are most excited about opening their new business. Here’s what they had to say:
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourselves. What are your professional backgrounds? What are some personal hobbies and interests you have?
Emily: I am currently our “Family CEO,” with past Senior Executive Administrative experience.
Erik: I was a retail executive of loss prevention and safety at a Fortune 50 retailer. Outside of work, we both love outdoorsy activities such as camping and boating, and we have a hobby farm with miniature Hereford cattle and a llama!
Q: What did you like about the Anago Cleaning Systems franchise opportunity?
Emily: We are excited about the Master Franchise opportunity that provides an essential service in the San Antonio market. The ability to own a large geography in the city in which I live, providing a much needed service to the community, was a huge priority.
Erik: In addition to that, my 30-year career at a Fortune 50 retailer has given me the skill set to motivate and provide guidance in helping others thrive and become successful.
Q: How did you find the Anago discovery process to be?
Erik: We appreciated the development and corporate teams’ transparency and honesty in describing the opportunity. They were extremely knowledgeable and provided a realistic picture of the day-to-day expectations of a Master Franchise Owner. They were also happy to share all requested information for existing Master Franchise Owners so we could delve into the struggles they had to overcome when starting their business. At Discovery Day, Anago’s Corporate Team did an excellent job reviewing everything with us and thoroughly answered all of our questions.
Q: What made you decide to become entrepreneurs?
Emily: After spending 16 years taking care of my family, everyone is now able to manage their own affairs with just a little guidance. This was the perfect time to embark on something new and exciting.
Erik: After spending 30 years in corporate America, with a hectic 5-day-per-week travel schedule, and being on call 24/7, I decided it was time for a change.
Q: How much did our current global situation influence your choice to franchise with a commercial cleaning service corporation like Anago?
Emily: We believe Covid-19 has permanently changed the workplace. Business owners providing a new level of cleanliness for their customers and employees is now a must-have.
Q: What do you think will make you successful in this business?
Erik: Our ability to use our skill sets and talents to help other aspiring entrepreneurs grow their business.
Q: What are you looking forward to most about owning your own Anago Cleaning Systems franchise?
Emily: For the first time in our lives, we now have the opportunity to work for ourselves and our family. We are excited to network with other Master Franchise Owners to learn best practices. We also can’t wait to get out into our community and interact with other business owners.
